Like his other colleagues at Caddo Lake Capital, Sam comes from a business background and draws upon that experience to help him better understand an entrepreneur’s perspective when considering an M&A transaction. Sam began developing his client relationship and business development skills early in his career as an account manager for the technology giant, CDW Corporation, a Fortune 200 company. He worked directly with CDW clients, evaluating how they were using various IT solutions, and then helped them optimize and manage their IT infrastructure.
As an account executive at Envoy Global, Sam advised and assisted businesses that needed to obtain work visas for their foreign national employees. He worked closely with HR teams and the employees who were clients of Envoy, helping them with personnel who were applying for temporary or permanent citizenship. Working with foreign nationals and U.S. Immigration is a detailed process that requires patience and focus, skills that Sam uses today in his M&A business development role.
He also was the co-founder of an apparel company that focused on a niche target audience of young fans of the alternative music industry. Having this entrepreneurial experience enables him to better understand the business owner’s point of view in the privately-held companies he works with at Caddo Lake Capital.
Sam is a graduate of Illinois State University with a BA in Philosophy and Political Science. He also graduated from a technology coding academy, where he developed the skills necessary to program web applications.
Sam lives in the Dallas area. His hobbies include running, fencing, fishing, and golf.
