In the finance realm, Barrett gained valuable experience as a Junior Investment Analyst at Druid Capital Partners, Ltd. His role exposed him to various aspects of the acquisition process, including deal sourcing, valuation, financial and operational due diligence, and investor communications. He worked closely with three managing partners to manage the firm's portfolio, conducted competitor research, and prepared materials for investor presentations. Beyond his investment duties, Barrett also demonstrated excellent organizational skills by providing comprehensive operational support to the firm, real estate management, and financial planning for the managing partners.
Barrett's academic journey began at The University of Alabama's Culverhouse College of Business, where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Commerce and Business Administration with honors, graduating Cum Laude. Additionally, Barrett earned a Master of Science in Finance degree from Southern Methodist University’s Cox School of Business. He was selected as one of the elite participants in the Nancy Chambers Underwood Graduate Fund, where he honed his financial analysis skills, meticulously analyzed the S&P 500 Index Consumer Staples Sector, and expertly crafted formal reports.
Barrett has a wife, Katie, and a dog named Bama. He centers life around his faith, spending quality time with family and friends, enjoying the outdoors, and pursuing interests such as hunting, fishing, traveling, and sports.
